A few words about me: I’m a longtime broadcast, print and digital journalist who worked her way up from green-as-grass grad student getting her feet wet in radio at the legendary WAER/Syracuse to producer, editor and news writer at ABC Radio and Fox News Radio. Along the way I’ve produced and written syndicated music shows and news services in multiple genres, booked musical talent for major radio shows, interviewed more musicians and celebrities than I can count, written liner notes for albums and contributed to numerous print and online outlets, including JazzTimes, Jazziz, The MusicHound Jazz Guide and Townsquare Media. I’ve also worked on news side and know the pace of live newscasts all too well.
I’m a proud Smith College grad (who took a yearlong detour at Harvard) with a master’s degree from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications.
I’m so glad you found me and please check back periodically for updates.
Ariana Grande just lifted the spirits of the British public more than any politician or official could ever hope to do. Recording Academy, please do the right thing here and honor this generous, magnanimous young artist.
Deeply, deeply sad at the horrific bombing in Manchester. I send prayers to all whose lives were changed in an instant by this terrible attack, and I pray that one day we will have a better world. UPDATE: Bravo, Ariana Grande, for going back to Manchester to play a benefit concert for the victims of the bombing — I applaud you!
Now look, I’m a huge fan of stylish handbags and I like Balenciaga, but when I heard they made a bag selling for more than $2000 that looks exactly like Ikea’s 99-cent bag I could not help but be reminded of the old saying about a fool and his money.
